Welcome to the University of Bristol Shooting Club

BShooting at Mendipristol shooting club shoots every Wednesday afternoon during term time at Mendip shooting ground, a short distance from Bristol in the glorious Somerset countyside. We welcome anyone to come and shoot with us, from experienced shots to complete beginners. We offer tuition with excellent coaches and shooting on a number of different set ups around the shooting ground.  We mainly shoot sporting clays, but also offer skeet and for those interested in getting in some practice for the coming game season there is a high tower and grouse butt available.

We have successfully competed each year in the BUCS national championships, with both men’s and women’s teams taking part. Competitions with other universities also occur throughout the year, giving an excellent chance to travel away from Bristol on the weekends, compete regularly and meet other shooters from across the country. Any members are welcome to compete for the club regardless of experience.

We are a friendly, sociable, relaxed and almost entirely informal club who go and do something we love every week, and have a thoroughly good time doing it - all whilst getting a bit of fresh air! So whether you want to come and learn an exciting new sport, improve your shooting or just come along and have an afternoon out in the countryside, clay shooting is the sport for you!
